I am Constance Malleret, a freelance journalist covering Brazilian news, politics, and social and environmental issues from Rio de Janeiro.

My writing is published in a variety of print and online news outlets, including the Guardian/the Observer in the UK and the Christian Science Monitor in the US. I also work as a stringer for energy-focused news agency Argus Media, and do reporting and news commentary for radio and television.

I have a bachelor's degree in Modern Languages (French & Spanish) from the University of Bristol (UK) and an MSc in Globalisation and Latin American Development from UCL’s Institute of the Americas (UK).

I was raised bilingual in French and English and am fluent in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

As well as writing commissions, I am available for fixing, research, translation work into English, copywriting, and sub-editing. You can find me on Instagram and LinkedIn, or get in touch via email at: constancemalleret[at]gmail[dot]com.
